As a cine-file and a chronic insomniac I have lots of time to enjoy all the movies I love. Here are my thoughts on a few.
My Favorites:
- 2001
- Apocalypse Now
- Tree of Life
- Fight Club
- Into The Wild
Honorable Mention: The Deer Hunter, Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange, The New World The Fountain, Requiem for a Dream, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 12 Monkeys
Recommended Documentaries
The House I Live In – The most clear headed look into the devastating effects of America’s War on Drugs.
Neurons to Nirvana – A look into the possibilities of brain chemistry and hallucinogens.
Zeitgeist – Sure it may be more propaganda than documentary, but definitely worth a thought provoking look.
Surviving Progress – A very interesting perspective. I highly recommend. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1462014/
